1. Look at the two peolpe at the photo. Why do you think they are happy?
People sometimes think Mary and Gerald are married but in fact they just are good friends. They have known each other for forty years because they regularly go ball room dancing. Every week they meet and practise dancing. Mary Ha ll is eighty-five years old and Cerald Kavanagh is eighty. So, after all these years, why do they dance? Probably because it's good for their health for two reasons. It's good physical exercise, but dancing is also about lea rning new movements so it's good for your mentaJ hea lth as well. Dancing is one good reason for their long and happy life.
2. Listen to someone talking about people in the photo and answer the questions
- Who are they?
- How often do they practise dancing?
- Why do they think dancing is good for their physical and mental health?
3. Look at the activities in the box. Which activities do you do? When do you do them? How often?

4. Write questions to ask your partner about activities

1. Find out about your partner’s habits. Ask questions with How often … ? and these ideas. Answer using an adverb or expression of frequency.
A: How often do you eat out?
B: About once a month.
